About Me

My name is Wendy Thompson and I am originally from Grand Junction, Colorado located in the heart of Western Colorado!  I completed my undergraduate degree in Dietetics in Greeley, Colorado at the University of Northern Colorado in 2012.  I danced from the age of three and continued through college both competitively and with various concert dance companies. I still love to take class whenever possible.  I will graduate in May of 2014 with my Master’s in Human Nutrition and Foods and will be eligible to take the RD exam that summer.  Throughout my graduate degree my research was focused on multidisciplinary polycystic ovary syndrome clinics.  I assessed the current trends, future implications, and potential efficacy of medical nutrition therapy and the use of registered dietitians through a survey and dedicated focus groups.  I was recently accepted in the University of Colorado - Denver's PA program to become a physician assistant so I will be starting that in May of 2014.  I am creating this electronic portfolio to document my experiences as a dietetic intern and serve as an online resume. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions, opportunities, or any thoughts!
