Current Research

To fulfill my graduation requirements I will be completing a problem statement. For the next two years I will be researching the existing literature regarding the geographical prevalence of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). In addition, I will also assess the need and development for multidisciplinary PCOS clinics.
Once each week, on Thursdays, we spent our lunch hours exploring local food restaurants.
Meals On Wheels, Inc. - Nutrition Intern

I spent 6 weeks of the summer of 2011 (between my junior and senior year of my undergrad) volunteering full time in Fort Worth, Texas working with Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County as a nutrition intern. During this time I gained experience in community, foodservice, and even outpatient clinical nutrition. I was one of seven interns that summer and I worked closely with four full-time dietitians. I attended local meetings on diabetes, worked with geriatrics patients, taught nutrition courses to kids summer programs, and so much more.
